Dr. Victor Olaiya Dies At 89

Highlife music legend, Dr. Victor Olaiya has died in Lagos. He was confirmed dead by Bimbo Esho, Managing Director of Evergreen Music Company Ltd. The singer whose evergreen songs transcends several generations of music lovers died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 after a brief illness.

In 2013, Dr. Olaiya got 2Baba in the booth for the remix of his hit song, “Baby Jowo” (Baby Mi Da). It was released on Spinlet Music.

Dr. Victor Olaiya died at 89; He was born on December, 31, 1930. He is survived by many wives, children, and grandchildren.
