People with ears close to the ground must have heard about this dude already. And those who are up and about would have met him already. Young, stylish and driven, Eric Idiahi is the man behind Spinlet – the digital music distribution company that’s the new pride of musicians.
With Spinlet already working with 2Face Idibia, Banky W, Wizkid, Eldee, MI, Ice Prince, Chyme HD and many more, Eric has his eyes set on solving the distribution problem in Nigeria, while helping curb piracy and helping artists as well as their labels make more money.
He’s started well already – breaking download and sales records with the ‘EME All-Stars’ Album, facilitating Ice Prince’s collaboration with international Reggae star, Gyptian and sponsoring him alongside 2Face, Naeto C and others to the globally-famous SXSW in Texas. Spinlet has also been supporting dozens of Nigerian artists with recording, promotion and other beneficial facilities.
Eric, who is very much married, is a music fan who is building a movement out of his love for the art. What most people don’t know is that he’s also the co-founder of Verod Capital, one of Nigeria’s leading investment firms, based in Lagos, Nigeria.
