LOUD Entertainment presents Zizzy, a remarkable reggae / soul singer, writer and performer with her first single,“Butterfly n Juju“ feat Dramin, produced by Bigfoot of Micworx.
Zizzy in this debut, puts in work to showcase an unpopular genre of music especially among the female folks. “Butterfly n Juju” shares a message to lovers, saying it shouldn’t be hard for them to profess their love and fidelity to one another.
Zizzy, real name, Vanessa Ozioma Obiakor was born on October 29, 1988 to a Philippine mother and a Nigerian father. The ‘Afro Asian Empress’ as she’s also referred to, spent most of her childhood in Lagos Nigeria were she attended German School & Grange then moved on to Far Eastern University in Philippine.
Zizzy was inspired by the likes of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Fela Kuti, the Beatles, Janis Joplin, Queen Ifrica, Bob Dylan, Tracy Chapman and Lauryn Hill. Four years ago, she picked up the guitar, and then the trumpet… the outcome was a self-honed entertainer who sees no limit in the path she has chosen. She played her first Gig at an underground station in Manila (Philippine) with an alternative band called STICK21, as a backup vocalist and guitarist. In 2011, she joined “The Stupid bots band” (Retardimus Primer, LD Prime and Dramin).
“Butterfly n Juju” sounds different and one of the secrets to the top is standing out. I may not be able to handpick the number of reggae fans out there, but I know many of those reggae joints that made an impact in our local music scene and if this song is promoted well, it shouldn’t be an exception. Straight up to the point, not too long so there is room for replay.
