The long wait is finally over; Nigeria’s leading lager brand, Star has unveiled an exciting new limited edition 60cl bottle aptly called ‘The Rockstar’. The star-studded unveil event, held on Tuesday, November 6, 2013 took place at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.
The launch of the trendy new look bottle comes after a highly publicized digital campaign, which spread on all social media platforms and inspired a now popular catch phrase, #musicinabottle for all that are daring, witty and vibrant.
Selected guests from the business, entertainment, telecoms and media industries who were present at the launch had no clue of Star’s surprise until the moment of unveiling. The unveiling process was shrouded in secrecy and successfully heightened the excitement.
The Star bottle and brand has evolved through the years, starting from 1949 to 1971 down to the new millennium – 2000. It introduced the disposable cans in 2007 and re-branded it in 2010. A new design bottle with the golden band and shiny blue neck foil was launched in 2012. It’s 2013 and the brand is taking it notches further.

The host of the evening was popular artiste and chairman of rising record label, Syndic8, Lynxxx. Guests also enjoyed great performances by music stars: 2Face and Tiwa Savage.

The limited edition bottle is available at specific bars and clubs from November 1 to December 31, 2013. It will also sell at selected outlets across Nigeria.
